- Ideas and prompts — the ideas, prompts, and concepts you submit to the Book Genie to generate content.
- Usage information — basic technical data such as device type, browser, and how you interact with the Service, used to keep the Service working and to improve it.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account, and to provide the Service.
- Save your library, reading progress, and preferences.
- Generate content through the Book Genie when you request it.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce our policies.
- Improve, debug, and develop the Service.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your information is stored in a secure database hosted by our service provider (Supabase). We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. AI Processing and the Book Genie
When you use the Book Genie or other AI features, the ideas and prompts you submit are processed by third-party AI providers to generate content. Bookbrary does not accept uploads of your pre-existing content, and we do not store your original content. All content generated by the Book Genie is owned by Bookbrary LLC. We do not sell your personal information, and we use these providers solely to deliver the features you request. You are responsible for ensuring your ideas and prompts comply with our Acceptable Use Policy.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With service providers who help us operate the Service (hosting, authentication, AI processing), under confidentiality obligations.
- When required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required.
6. Cookies and Local Storage
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as theme. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
